Vocal Arrangements

Zina has worked in Broadway orchestras for many years, playing rehearsal piano, being part of the pit band and conducting shows. In fact, she was the first woman to conduct a Broadway show 9 months pregnant (“Titanic”). From “Avenue Q” to “Grand Hotel” to “Oklahoma,” she has interpreted many styles and developed a sense of how things fit musically. As a singer and composer, Zina knows how to get the best sound out of a group of voices. She grew up with world renowned jazz musicians in her house, and all of the voicings and chords have lived in her ever since. With her strength as a composer, she shapes the vocal arrangements according to the dramatic needs of a song.
